The Fighting in Kursk

Chapter 1

My name is Illych Ruslanov.I am a soldier in the glorious Soviet Union!Prokhorovka is

being invaded by German troops,and the battle is decided to be in Kursk.The Largest

Tank battle the world would ever see,they said.A Maxim Machine Gun was planted next

to where I was standing.I took out my Mosin Nagant,and aimed to see if any Germans

were attacking our position.I saw nothing,but after five more minutes,German Riflemen

were approaching.I told my Comrades of this,and they quickly got to the Machine Gun.

I got out my Mosin Nagant,and aimed.A Rifleman holding out a Grenade,as though about

to throw it.I fired,and he dropped dead,and the Grenade exploded,killing two more

Germans.

"Illych!A Panzerfaust!" the Machine Gunner was yelling it me with all his might.I quickly

aimed at the German Anti-Tank,and fired into his chest.He fell down,clutching his

chest.He was bleeding to death,and underwent horrible pain.I fired at him again,and

the pain to death for him was eased.The Germans then retreated,seeing their bloody

casualties.

"More will come." I told the Machine Gun team.They nodded,and went to get ammo

for the Maxim Gun.

Chapter 2

Our Sergeant made a hand signal,and two more soldiers came.

"Gimliss,Ildirgots,man the PTRD!" yelled the Sergeant.Gimliss and Ildirgots nodded and

then went over to the Anti Tank gun.Why did he execute that Order?I noticed now.A

Panzer Tank came,with 4 German Sub Machine gunners.Gimliss fired the PTRD,and as

soon as the shot burst out,Ildirgots ran to him with another Anti Tank round.They

reloaded the PTRD,and then fired again.The Tank was damaged,but not broken

down.I aimed with my Mosin Nagant,and fired,killing an MP40 Gunner that was aiming at Gimliss.

Gimliss and Ildirgots reloaded the Rifle again,and then fired.The Tank burst,flames

coming out of it.2 German tankers ran out,covered in a blanket of flame.By the next

minute,all Germans lay dead on the cold ground.

"You did great,the both of you.Congratulations." I told the two Anti Tank

Gunners.Gimliss nodded,and Ildirgots smiled at me.

"Illych,you are now promoted to Corporal for your brave actions in this

battle,comrade." the Sergeant quietly said,nearing me.

Chapter 3

I quickly grabbed my new PPSH,and threw aside my old Mosin Nagant.

"If anyone needs it,they can have it." I told the Commisar.

"Excellent thinking,Comrade." he replied back. "You are in control of the 7 men you

fought with." he added hastily.

"Thank you,sir." I nodded at his direction.I grabbed the Ammunition for the PPSH,and

set off. "Men,I am now your Corporal.You will fight alongside me,and you will be

rewarded if you fought for the Motherland!" I shouted these words valiantly,and the men

cheered.We sat there,smoking,drinking,telling stories of the horrors of the battles before

this one.I clearly remember the massacres of Poland,how I regretted fighting

alongside Germany at that time.Later on,our Captain approached us.

"We will be charging against German lines.Prepare for Battle,get your weapons and

report to me at once!" he told us.We all got up and then went to him.30 other soldiers

would be with us. "Charge!" the Captain's yell was swift.We began running,firing our

weapons from time to time,every 10 seconds,a Soviet fell down dead by German

rifles and machine guns.We kept charging,knowing to die for the Soviet Union,and we

still charged at them.When we got close enough.I unloaded my whole clip of Sub

machine gun fire at 3 Germans.They all fell down like a Marionette who had it's

strings cut.We continued firing back at them.Hand to Hand fighting came in five

minutes.Gimliss whacked a German soldier in the face with the stock of his Mosin

Nagant,and Ildirgots continued unloading clips at Germans with his precious

SVT.Fighting passed,and all Germans lay dead.We had taken this position.

Good story, though I have begun to tire of WW2 fan-fics, to be truthful.

Chapter 4

We had taken the position, and now, we have to defend the position. I took my PPSH, and stood next to a Machine Gunner.

"Attack!" I heard a yell, not a Soviet one, but a German one.

A Bright shade of Grey Smoke filled the room, and I had noticed the Germans threw a Smoke Grenade.

I started blindly firing at the Smoke, fully trying to kill a Nazi Soldier. I heard a ye;;, and I had noticed I killed only one man.

The Germans fired their G43s, and some of the Soviet Defenders fell down.

Gimliss fired the Anti Tank Rifle, not to destroy a tank, but to kill. The Shot had hit a German Officer.

Ildirgots threw Gimliss another round of ammo, and Gimliss aimed, and fired, shooting down a German MP40 Gunner.

I continued blindly firing my PPSH, until more screams were heard.

The Smoke cleared off, but we did not see the Germans anymore.

We saw Soviets of another Company, with Bayonets raised on their Rifles, and blood dripping from the Bayonets.

The Germans were on the floor with piles of blood around them.
